Cristom is proud to announce a Pre-IPNC Dinner on Thursday July 25th. Chef William Belickis of Mistral Kitchen in Seattle will prepare a meal for 50 that will be served al fresco on the front lawn of the winery. Take in the panoramic view of Mt. Jefferson and the Cascade Range as we serve a dramatic selection of mature Cristom Pinot Noir, all poured from Jeroboams and 5 liter bottles! This is a BIG night out!
This is the revival of an annual Pre-IPNC dinner event that Cristom Founders Paul and Eileen Gerrie hosted for grape growers. We’re very excited to offer seats at the event to the public and we welcome anyone who is attending 2013 IPNC.
Cristom is flattered that winemaker, Steve Doerner, has been chosen as one of the featured panelists at this year’s IPNC ‘Grand Seminar’. Steve is the original (and only) winemaker at Cristom and his wines have earned the respect of his colleagues and legions of industry professionals. Steve was part of a ‘second wave’ of winemakers who arrived in Oregon in the late 80’s and early 90’s with prior knowledge of Pinot Noir. They are responsible for continuing Oregon’s ascent onto the world wine stage. Steve’s wines are known for consistency and for his extensive use of whole-clusters, producing wines that form a bridge between old and new world styles. His Cristom wines are considered benchmarks for Oregon Pinot Noir.
Chef Belickis is a Seattle treasure and near culinary genius, who has a range of experience that traverses the very highest echelon of cuisine in the United States. A New York City native with a dance card that reads David Bouley and Jean-Georges Vongerichen to name a few; he now presides over his stunning Mistral Kitchen in the newly revitalized South Lake Union neighborhood in Seattle. The restaurant offers a wide range of dining options and a chef’s table called the ‘Jewel Room’, where William produces an inspired prix fixe tasting menu nightly. William is the rare chef who is extremely knowledgeable and passionate about wine.
